Asia carried yesterday’s tune: equities broadly bid on softer oil and AI optimism, while crypto catches its breath after a three-month high — US banks reportedly pushing back with their own blockchain network. So the backdrop continues rather than reverses. The one shift is internal: Bitcoin and Ethereum have lost some bullish sparkle, with BTC now neutral-leaning and ETH tilting bearish.
The London calendar is quiet — UBS Economic Expectations (low-tier, CHF) and CBI Realized Sales (low-tier, GBP). With no heavy data, positioning and technicals do the talking, so the CBI print may still give sterling a nudge given how tightly GBP/USD is squeezed between 1.36328 support and 1.36530 resistance.
Keep an eye on the squeezes: USD/JPY is boxed in near 158.88763–159.03458, with direction unknown. Gold remains bullish-leaning with open ground above, but watch 4626.06 support on any dip. Oil’s bearish lean holds while H4/H1 stay down and RSI sits soft — floor 80.05, resistance 81.62. The question for London: does the crypto pause deepen, or do dip-buyers step in when the data calendar won’t?
