The overnight mess hasn't tidied itself up: the 10-year briefly topped 5% for the first time since 2007, AI names took the hit, Brent found $109 as the Houthi campaign intensified, and now Morgan Stanley has joined Goldman in an 11th-hour switch to forecasting a Fed hike. That's the backdrop — and the Clarity Act crypto vote on Tuesday is already casting a shadow over digital assets.
This window is a light one on paper: ADP Weekly Employment Change, Empire State Manufacturing, and the API Weekly Statistical Bulletin for the dollar; Wholesale Sales for the CAD; the GDT Price Index for the NZD. All Low-tier, so don't expect any of them to write the session's story — the real driver is the tape the morning left behind.
On the barometer, the bearish tilt has firmed rather than reversed. EUR/USD is bearish-clear (H4 RSI 28.4) squeezed between 1.15325 and 1.15461; GBP/USD is bearish-clear (H4 RSI 38.4) boxed between 1.34863 and 1.35011 after that significant 1.1 ATR move — the UK data didn't resolve it, so the breakout is still pending. Gold is bearish-clear (H4 RSI 35.9) sitting right on 4281.55 resistance, with room down to 4249.37. Oil stays bullish-clear but flagged extended and blue-sky (H4 RSI 57.3, D1 RSI 69.6) — chasing here is a choice, not a strategy. USD/JPY is the odd one out: neutral on the composite, H4/H1 up, D1 down, holding 154.80. Crypto is the mixed bag it was: Bitcoin bearish-leaning (H1 RSI 32.6) pinned between 76721.8 and 77062.0, Ethereum bullish-leaning on D1/H4 despite a soft H1. Keep sizes modest — thin calendar, but the rates-and-oil undertow is doing the pushing.
