Asia Session's Technical Barometer

What this reads: the bigger picture for this session — daily, 4-hour and 1-hour trends with 4-hour and 1-hour momentum, read when this briefing was written. It changes slowly and is not a forecast. Market Pulse reads only the last hour or so, so the two can disagree: a short bounce inside a downtrend can read bullish there and bearish here.

What to watch in the Asia session

The Asian session (Sydney · Australia · Tokyo · China · Singapore) · updated 2026-10-04 23:20 UTC.

Good evening. The US session's marquee labor prints are behind us, and the day's other thread stayed regulatory — stablecoin reserve rules, bank charter lawsuits, and fresh crypto framework proposals from Washington to Seoul.

Expect the wires, not the data, to do the heavy lifting.

On the board, the picture has shifted since the last prep. EUR/USD now reads bearish clear — D1 down with H4 and H1 mixed, H4 RSI 35.5, price stretched with no level above where it turned before and the nearest one below far away. Gold is also bearish clear, sitting right at its nearest level below with 2.2 ATR to the nearest level above. GBP/USD leans bearish, USD/JPY and oil lean bullish, both wedged between close levels. Crypto is the interesting pair: Bitcoin is neutral overall — D1 down but H1 up, H4 RSI 68.9 and H1 RSI 85.4, near the top of its range with an active 30-minute move and structure intact. Ethereum leans bullish, D1 up against a down H4, H1 RSI 78.4, near the top of its range with a significant 30-minute move and structure mixed. Watch whether those crypto reads hold their footing as the session unfolds.
