Binance BTC outflows hit highest since mid-2023 as whales deposit stablecoins - TradingView

Binance has recorded its largest Bitcoin outflows since mid-2023, according to TradingView data. At the same time, large holders — commonly referred to as whales — have been depositing stablecoins onto the exchange. The combination is notable because the two flows point in different directions: Bitcoin leaving an exchange while stablecoin liquidity arrives.
Exchange flows are often watched as a rough gauge of holder behavior. BTC withdrawals can suggest coins are moving toward self-custody or longer-term storage rather than staying available for immediate sale. Stablecoin deposits, by contrast, are sometimes read as dry powder — capital positioned on an exchange that could be deployed into crypto assets.
Neither signal is conclusive on its own. Outflows can reflect internal wallet management or custody arrangements as much as conviction, and stablecoin inflows do not guarantee buying will follow. What matters is persistence: whether the pattern continues across multiple sessions and whether it shows up alongside other liquidity and price indicators. For now, the data offers a snapshot of shifting exchange balances rather than a definitive market direction.
