J.P. Morgan brings MONY and JLTXX tokenised funds to Solana - The Paypers

J.P. Morgan has extended two of its tokenised money market funds — MONY and JLTXX — to the Solana blockchain, according to The Paypers. The move places the bank's on-chain fund offerings on a network known for high throughput and low transaction costs, broadening the range of public blockchains through which these products can be accessed.
Tokenised money market funds represent shares of traditional cash-management vehicles issued as digital tokens. For market participants, the development is notable less for any single product than for the direction of travel: large incumbents are testing whether public blockchain rails can support familiar instruments. Solana's inclusion adds a further venue alongside the networks J.P. Morgan has already used for such products.
What to watch is adoption rather than announcement. The relevant questions are whether meaningful volumes migrate to these tokens, how secondary-market liquidity develops, and how the arrangement sits with existing settlement and custody workflows. Regulatory treatment of tokenised fund shares also remains a live variable across jurisdictions. For now, the step is best read as continued infrastructure experimentation by a major bank — a signal of institutional interest in on-chain distribution, not a change to the underlying economics of money market funds themselves.
